Ministry Possibilities
Worship Team
Praise Team — Sing or play and instrument on one of the church’s worship teams.
Drama Team — Develop skits that help emphasize the spiritual truths we are learning in sermons and possibly act in those skits.
Audio/Visual Team — Work in the sound and video booth during the worship services to provide sound and video resources to enhance the worship experience for the congregation.
Hospitality Team —This team is responsible for Sunday morning hospitality by making sure the following things happen Sunday morning: Prepare and serve coffee; Prepare communion and help direct the congregation during communion; maintain the Welcome Booth and hand out sermon CDs and Visitor Gift Bags.
Welcoming Team — On Sunday mornings greet those who have come to worship. This is done in both the entryway and the parking lot. If someone new comes and has children, direct them to the opportunities we have for children.
Growing Team
Host a Life Group — Host a Life Group in your home on a weekly basis. The only thing you must provide is a good setting for a Life Group to meet.
Lead a Life Group — Be trained and provide leadership for a Life Group.
Serve As An Apprentice in a Life Group — Commit to being trained, as you participate in a group, to lead a Life Group.
Help in Vacation Bible School — This is a once a year, one week commitment.
Lead Teacher Kids Own Worship — Lead in teaching a KOW class twice a month.
Help in Kids Own Worship — You would help by assisting a teacher on a rotating basis every 6 to 8 weeks.
Lead in Jr. High Youth Group — Meet weekly with the Youth Group Staff and provide leadership in the lives of our Jr. High Youth.
Help in Jr. High Youth Group — Help with the weekly youth meetings and provide leadership in the lives of our Jr. High Youth.
Lead in Sr. High Youth Group — Meet weekly with the Youth Group Staff and provide leadership in the lives of our Sr. High Youth.
Help in Sr. High Youth Group — Help with the weekly youth meetings and provide leadership in the lives of our Sr. High Youth.
Provide snack supper for youth groups — On a rotating basis about once each two months, provide a light snack supper for our youth group.
Serve with the Nursery Staff — Help with the children in the nursery on a rotating basis.
Belonging Team
Help with Family Funeral Dinners — Help provide food and coordinate the food provided by others for family funeral dinners. Help set up, serve and clean up after funeral dinners.
Help with Church Dinners — Help provide food and coordinate the food provided by others for All Church Dinners. Help set up, decorate, serve and/or clean up after church dinners.
Help plan and lead Fun Outings — Help the church have some fun outing about four times per year.
Connecting Team
Marketing Team — Work with a team to develop marketing strategies to help the unchurched get in touch with all that Legacy Christian Church has to offer them and their families.
Care Team — Greet and meet guests that come to morning worship. Find out who they are, how we can contact them and introduce them to others sitting near them in worship.
Servant Evangelism Team — Help all church members be involved in high impact, low anxiety opportunities to reach out to those in our community to show them God’s love in practical ways.
The Alpha Team — Help facilitate the Alpha Course being offered a minimum of twice per year. Possibilities are leading a small group, helping lead a group, audio/visual support, food service and prayer team.
Upward Ministry Team — Work in the Upward outreach ministry in Basketball, Cheerleading and/or Soccer. Available positions are coaching, assistant coach, referee, audio/visual tech support, photography and video, snack bar worker, and share a devotional during a game.
Serving Team
Maintenance Team — Plan and arrange two work days at the church each year. Survey the property needs of the church every two months. Help with the repairs needed that can not be done by the church maintenance man.
Visitation Team — Be a part of the team coordinated by the Parish Caller to see that church members who are in nursing homes or are shut-in or dealing with a long-term hospitalization are visited on a regular basis and receive communion when requested.
Video/Photography Team — Consistently take pictures and video of the Legacy Church in action and keep our visual records up-to-date. Make available video of individual’s spiritual journeys and video of the ministries of the church to share in worship and on the church web site.
Matthew 25 Ministries Team — Provide a monthly opportunity for people to experience working at Matthew25Ministeries.
Prayer Team — Provide opportunities for the church to gather and pray. These opportunities might be all church worship and prayer services, small prayer groups, prayer chains and personal prayer. We will also work to have as many people as possible praying daily for the teachers and students in the nearby school districts.
World Outreach Team — Oversee and direct the mission giving of the church.
Mission/Work Teams — Arrange annual mission/work trips and help recruit people to be on the mission teams.
Local Service and Outreach Team — Help coordinate our support of local missions such as Love, INC and Reach Out Pregnancy Center. Work as a team with the team staff and ministry team leader to makes decisions concerning requests for help the come to the church.
Jail Ministry Team — Participate with the Jail Team in providing worship and prayer experiences for those incarcerated in the Hamilton County Corrections System.
